Here We Go

So this is blogging, huh?

Anyone reading this probably already knows that we are a family of seven in Davenport, Iowa. Chris is Dad, and Cindy is Mom. Solei, Sierra, Caden, Taron and Ella are the kids.

We are in the process of re-landscaping our hill, which is turning out to be a little more work than we expected. 40 long feet of weed barrier does not like to stay down in the wind.

Solei impressed us with how hard she worked in the yard yesterday so we took her out to Chili's for dinner. It is hard to believe she is turning 12 on Tuesday, she even ordered off of the grown-up menu this time.

Chris is finally starting to come home in the evenings again, although he is still very busy with work. Covering for Mark (Chris's boss who has left on a "special assignment" for 6 months) has not been an easy task; he still works his regular job too. We are so glad to see him before bedtime occasionally now.

We took the kids to the park last weekend and snapped some cute photos of them, here are a few...

We finally have the kids in swim lessons! I think the girls are a little embarrassed to be in the same class as kindergartners but they really do need the lessons. They manage fine with their life jackets at the lake, but it has been good for them to learn proper swimming techniques.

Unfortunately we haven't had the boat out on the water yet this year. Winter just doesn't want to let go.

Well, I could write a lot of other stuff but I think I'll keep it short and sweet today.
