Cabin Fever

On Thursday we all headed up to Jason's cabin in the mountains near Fairview. The peace and quiet of the mountains temprarily became interrupted with the sounds of four wheelers, referee whistles, children's laughter and gunshots. The squirrels (or were they giant chipmunks?) didn't seem to mind though, and their feasting on the bird feeders provided some great entertainment for the little ones.

We ventured down to a fishing creek with all the kids, but had to be rescued when the rain started to fall. Thank goodness for four-wheelers (and aunts and uncles who ride them)!

Jason's dad was building a treehouse as tall as the cabin, three stories high (you can see it in the first photo). I cringed inside everytime he brought one of the kids up to the highest platform-- a bit nerve-racking for the parents but the kids loved it.
